I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Astellas in Aug 2023
Interview
4 separate interviews- 1 with a recruiter, 1 with RSM, one w 2 RSMs, and one w ASD. Pretty standard questions. Astellas believes a lot in culture, team development, and ethics/compliance. Overall fairly average process.
Standard STAR questions after going through the resume. Why am I giving this a thumbs down? Ryan the internal recruiter said, and I quote, "Tell me the lowest salary you'd be willing to accept for this role." Is there a more demeaning question you can ask? Of course I didn't answer that question. Sure, let me give you a number and then they'll come in 10-15% higher, making you think you got the better deal. However, the range was much higher and you just lowballed yourself. He said I would make the next round of interviews and I didn't.
It was not what i expected, i thought it was going to be telephone because the email states that but it's virtual. Could have more clear in the email they sent out to better prepare their applicants
