I was literally ghosted during the whole process as I didn’t know what's happening after I've shared the details to recruiter. Every time I kept hearing from recruiter that they will get back (getting back didn't happen) or hiring manager is out of office. I had to follow-up the recruiter and hiring manager through many emails and phone calls to get the updates on my candidacy.
The candidate experience was pathetic and they are very bad at communicating. They have outsourced recruitment process to ADP, the Astellas in-house and ADP team, both, are not aligned, recruiter couldn't respond to few of the questions, and I found them to be unprofessional from my experience which, I wasn’t expecting from a top research company like this who has a great mission of working towards curing diseases through innovative healthcare solutions.
The recruiters aren't sure about the interview being confirmed as they changed the interview dates. I couldn’t find the interview to be fair and a two-way, they were casual, surprisingly, their expectations during actual interview were different from that of what they have outlined in the job posting and the recruiter screening call. I got a vibe that they must have already identified a candidate but interviewed me since they required a few more candidates to go through the motions of interviewing. Finally, up on chasing, they gave me an update that they are proceeding with other candidates. I’ve requested them to share the feedback on what hasn't worked out to which, they ever returned.
In the end, it didn't sound like they were serious about hiring for a role and I wasn't valued, respected, and welcomed, throughout the interview process as a candidate.
I have shared my interview experience along with constructive feedback to senior talent team to which I haven’t got any response. It looked like they are neither receptive to such feedbacks nor interested in taking them positively (constructively) which in my opinion, reflects culture of the organization.
