Effect of different groups on aromatics in directing substituents to ortho, meta and para positions.

Interview
Assessment centre consisted of tour, lunch, technical based interview and group exercise. All interviewers were very friendly and kind. Group exercise involved two timed tasks, but interviewers were more bothered about how you worked in a team rather than how successful you were. Similarly, more important to show your thinking process in the technical interview rather than get all the questions right.

Lots of organic chemsitry reactions such as reagents and products for conversions between carboxylic acid derivatives. Some questions on aromatic chemistry (eg. directing groups and substitution) and spectroscopic techniques too.
