This was an extremely long hiring process with five interviews, a sample project exercise, and a presentation: 1 HR phone screening 2 Phone interview with hiring manager 3 Phone interview with team member 4 Phone interview with software trainer with a verbal test at the end 5 in person interview with homework presentation* in Birmingham, Alabama. *One week before the last interview I was given a complex take home assignment with four major deliverable components and a 45 minute presentation to create. The instructions were 8 pages long. After the presentation they will ask questions for 45 more minutes about the homework assignment before continuing the interview. I was told advised of the assignment about a week before receiving it. I wish I had used that time finding a computer to borrow with Project and Visio on it. Red flags- The last interview was scheduled to start at 5 pm and many emails were sent after 9pm.
