I was contacted by a recruiter for a screening call. The recruiter seemed very enthusiastic about my application and said she would contact me the next day to schedule an interview with the hiring manager. After waiting several days for follow up, I reached back out to the recruiter. She replied saying they had already made an offer to another candidate, who I later found out was a former colleague of the hiring manager. This experience left me with a bad impression of the professionalism of the recruiter and the team.
