I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Atlassian (Bangalore Rural) in Mar 2024
Interview
First Round was coding and SQL , Interviewer was clueless if answer was right and what was the answer
Second Round System Design , Interviewer again was not prepared and asked for 10 mins to look for questions and was on on call support pausing calls in between
Thrid Round was Product sense , Really dint understand what was the expectation dint understand questions / slang dint even understand when he was switching context
Cultural Fit and Managerial : No one was from DE team or actual hiring team no one had answer about actual team
After completing all round go feedback saying technically not fit , instead would have rejected after 1,2 round would have saved time and efforts
waste of time and non productive and zero learning

I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Atlassian (Sydney) in Apr 2025
Interview
I gave the first coding round at Atlassian for Data Engineer role. As this role at Atlassian requires a lot of SQL and Python skills, the coding round had 3 questions for SQL (one was leading after another) and 1 Python based programming question.
Questions were pretty straight forward if you would have prepared well for it.
I am still awaiting response from them on my interview. Hope for the best!

Question 1
SQL questions:
1. First question was based on the ranking and join to get the solution
2. Second follow up question used the same database and tables. The question asked for a rolling average based on last 3 days.
3. Third question was again based on a rolling sum and then count query based on that rolling sum.
All of the SQLs required CTE statements
Lastly the Python programming question was a basic for loop to search the position of a target number. Interviewer asked for a different approach of solving it.
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Atlassian (Sydney) in Mar 2025
Interview
Interview process first starts with a recruiter, recruiter booked me in to an online interview and gave some preparation notes. There were 2 SQL based questions and 3 Python based questions. Roughly 45 minutes to complete all 5. I made it up to 4 and ran out of time.
Feedback was given shortly after a week. Although I didn't make it through the interviewer was good and the recruiter even gave me a debrief call to discuss.
Consists of three programming rounds plus two culture fit.
None of the leetcode questions are there under Atlassian. Maybe try hackerrank or learn without route learning it.
First technical interview was done to assess if they wanted you to continue. Each subsequent required in depth knowledge of either python and algorithms but also system design for senior engineers.
