Atlassian Talent Partner interview questions

I applied for a role that perfectly matches my skillset, got a call from the hiring manager, had a great conversation and the next interview was set up too. Suddenly a day before the scheduled interview I receive a call from the hiring manager stating they'd want to stop my candidature now on the notion of hearing a negative feedback (biased at that) from their leadership team on an incident that occurred long back with another of my employer. I explained (again) my side of the story and left it up to the hiring team to decide. I don't receive any call back after that so let it go since I wouldn't anyway want to work for a company that is extremely biased.
