Process for freshers was carried out through following step: 1) Aptitude Test The test had 3 section each of 30 questions was were to be solved in 60 minutes(90 questions in 60 mins). 3 sections were A)Quantitative Ability(20 questions) B)Logical Reasoning(20 questions) C)English and Grammar(20 questions) The Aptitude test results were announced after 2 weeks and they called for further process. 2) Technical Aptitude and Hackathon Technical Aptitude test comprises questions based on SDLC and Database and general computer background questions. 20 questions need be solved in 12 minutes. Easy questions! After technical test the next round is hackathon round wherein you are clubbed with a group of 4 members(total group of 5 members). This round is of 1:30 Hrs. In this round problem solving skills are tested based on the problem statement provided for a group. You need to understand the problem discuss the possible ways to solve the problem with your team and come up with a solution that is a flow chart and a suitable algorithm which supports the flowchart. Time slot are divided as follows A) 15 mins - understand the problem and write your own solution to the problem without discussing with group members. B) 45 mins - discuss with your team for solution and draw flowchart and supporting algo. C) 30 mins - Technical interview based on solution and basic programming language questions and a few BE project related questions The result of Hackathon and Technical test are announced together based on performance you are selected for the next round. 3) HR round Once you are selected for HR round you have maximum chances of getting into Syntel! In this round basic questions like, 'tell me about yourself?', strengths, weakness, hobbies, Locations preference and shift timings are discussed with you. Short and sweet process, hardly 5 mins round. Basically they test the confidence level and communication skills. After HR round you are informed in a week or two whether you are selected or not. They will contact you regarding the joining process and the further joining letter is mailed to you once you confirm your date of joining on call.
