I applied through college or university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Audax Group (Boston, MA) in Sep 2019
Interview
First round on campus, 30 min case interview and 30 min behavioral interview. Cases are interviewer led, focus on a past investment. Ask questions such as "what are some areas to consider with this investment." They ask for market sizing and will provide you with all the info you need, but you need to ask for it (price, # customers, etc.). Cases are not difficult compared to MBB firms, but it helps to have experience, suits more of a consultant than banker type. Behaviorals are fairly standard. Overall a fair process.
Case interview w vp first round, then another two MD cases and one HR MD for final round and then offers, the cases were guided and not open ended consulting style, felt like real applicable cases
I reached out to panelists after an online forum, and I have 100% success rate in hearing back from all of them, even VP's and MD's. The phone calls were very casual and I genuinely learned a lot about the company, its structures, and about insights into the works of PE

Consulting Case Questions + Behavioral. Two rounds - first round was one case and on behavioral, second was ~4 interviews. Much more akin to a consulting style interview with 'Case in Point' style questions.
