Went through 5 or 6 interviews, including a presentation. Everything was going great and it seemed I was guaranteed an offer. I had a final discussion schedule with the CEO. The CEO cancelled last minute and I was told it would be rescheduled. Four days later I was told the CEO decided to not fill the role due to competing priorities and they were taking down the role. After many hours of interviews and prepping for a presentation, it was taken away because they didn't properly vet the budget. Very frustrating that the hiring manager never reached out to apologize either.
