I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Autodesk in Apr 2025
Interview
It started with a quick call with recruiter discussing my experience and the position requirements, the proceeded to the next step with hiring manager which was mainly a high level technical interview, He asked me about my experience and interesting projects in detail, also he asked a high level system design question. Then I proceeded to the next step with a principal Developer in the team, He again asked me about my latest projects and also some language based questions, at last he asked an algorithmic question to implement.
create a function which gets a string containing parentheses and return a boolean identifying if the parentheses are valid or not. then define the different type of invalid strings. then assume that it can also include [] and {}
Typical software engineer process. First telephone resume screening. and then OA and then Onsite interview. Each step is average difficult. But HR did ask some personal private questions which made me unconfortable.
3 rounds, not that stressful, love the environment. more like to chat. And maybe it would be better to prepare some tech questions, it sould be really helpful. But the tech comes until the second, and third round is more like behavior questions.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Autodesk in Apr 2026
Interview
I first had a call with the recruiter to discuss the role, my background, and my experience. After that, I was invited to Round 1 with the manager.
The interview was mostly behavioral and focused heavily on teamwork, collaboration, and communication-related topics. Toward the end, there were also a few technical questions covering C++, DSA fundamentals, and other stuff related to the role.
Overall, the process felt professional and respectful. The manager was kind, approachable, and treated me with respect throughout the interview.
