I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at AvalonBay Communities in Jan 2025
Interview
Interview questions were very thorough and …revealing. Work-ethic wise. I learned things about myself and took notes to take into other interviews with other companies. Be honest and authentic. I was expecting to interview with 2 people plus a panel and it ended up being 7 rounds of interviewing. I think they were aiming for 3 rounds. There was a phone screening, interview with the direct supervisor for the role, surprise interview with a VP/regional, then the panel interview. Good thing about having so many rounds is I got speak with different people all over the company and ask questions about their experience.

Well thought out questions that were challenging but very fair for the job title. Everyone in their office seems to love the environment and culture. Entire interview process went very smoothly and communicated well.

Interview
They had a hiring event at one of their SF location and I just went in with my resume after applying online and answering personality quiz / questions. The process did not take long. The manager that interviewed me was really nice and engaged with our conversations. She was very nice and polite. I'm assuming that is how Customer Service are trained.
