Contacted by internal recruiter after applying through Indeed. Had a short interview set up with the software manager and lead. Received a low contingent offer that I countered on (they already knew my requirements). Contingent offer was based on interview with client partner. While waiting on client partner interview, spoke with company president and it sounded like there was a wealth of roles and work to be performed if I wasn't paired with this specific client. He really built it up and sounded like he wanted me, which honestly was a good job of keeping my attention from looking to continue interviewing elsewhere. Client partner interview didn't occur until 6 weeks after contingent offer. It was an absolute mess because the interviewer hadn't even been with the client for 1 month and was fairly aimless in direction. Client partner didn't bring me on so the contingency failed and they passed on me entirely. So after 2 months of interviewing and passing on other offers/interviews, the result was nothing.
They absolutely disrespected my time. If you manage to secure an offer, absolutely refuse any contingent offers.
