Started with applying via a job posting on LinkedIn, and a recruiting associate contacting me via email for a 30 minute screening call within a few days. This was followed a week later with an in-person interview at the DC office (roughly 2 hours in length). About half a week after the in-person interview, I was contacted for further telephone interviews with 4 different individuals located throughout various national locations. Each call was approximately an hour, and thus this part of the process was about 4 hours. After each interview I followed up with thank you emails and the recruiter was quite responsive about the process. However, one week after my 'final' interviews, the recruiter contacted me and said I would hear back the next week...I heard nothing. I reached out to the recruiter twice more throughout a 2 week period and never heard from her again. I really do not care that I ultimately did not get the job, it just seems wildly inappropriate, unprofessional and callous to have a job searcher interview for over 6 hours, on various days, throughout the span of a month or so, only to never contact them about the final status or decision on the position. Likewise, there is a strong emphasis not only on whether you have a degree or not, but where your degree is from.
