Interview
I received an initial phone interview request about 5 weeks after applying online. The conversation lasted about 5 min. The recruiter was mostly interested in why I'm interested and my timing of availability. Subsequently, after numerous emailed follow-up questions, I was asked to perform an online interview questionnaire. No follow-up was ever made, even after my request to do so. The process seemed mechanical and somewhat unprofessional.

Interview
I received a phone call from a BASF recruiter who told that I would be a perfect match for the job. He was interested about my background and I way I wanted to leave my current job. The call lasted 5 minutes.
Then, I received an email link with a one way video interview. Basically you get 4 questions with 30 seconds to prepare and 3 minutes to answer. You look into the camera and you cannot stop or go back or review your tape. It was very stressful and impersonal. I heard back three month later via email letting me know that BASF decided to continue with candidates who fitter batter the profile. I didn’t even get a chance to speak to a real person within the IP department.
Very disappointing!
