      Intern Interview

      Sep 20, 2013
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through college or university. I interviewed at BBVA in Jul 2013

      Interview

The position was for new york, Got an invitation through one of the recruiter from taking an Bloomberg assessment test. I was very excited to have my interview in turn hopefully land a position right after college. I looked forward to working hard in helping with economics report because I always had an interest in working in a financial institution. The interview consisted of three part speaking with three level of managers. I was told ahead of time that it would be a one year position, and commitment was required. I understood the condition and I valued experience more than anything. They sound interested as I was, was a bit difficult but I felt I was very capable or become part of the team based on the interview. Unfortunately they've told me that they have to get back to me after their "summer vacations". They sounded very convinced and promised me a potential offer, since it took very long, almost 2 hour interview so I've decided to respect their decision and wait it out. Two weeks went by, then I decided to follow up because there was no offer yet. I' was told that they were still interviewing other people. Then I've waited another week and they've still said they are interviewing other people. By this time a whole month gone by, still no response. Very rude of them, not even a response or a rejection. Totally unprofessional for their so called fancy managerial titles. They are so busy to even bother sending out a response. They've killed my interest in the future to work for this company. I've placed too much faith in a company who mission was "to nurture and place value in a people community" was a bunch of lies. Not sure if the job posting was a phantom job, this positing went up for almost half a year. repeat posting on job board. Didn't receive position, I've felt hard and played by this company. Make sure you do your due diligence in researching company and position.
