TLDR; I was ghosted after hiring manager interview- The interview process started out normal enough, zoom screen with HR and then moved on to the hiring manager call. From my perspective the call with the hiring manager went very well. We shared some laughs, both asked good questions to each other, talked about the role, etc. It was a very conversational and productive call. But then I was completely ghosted for OVER A MONTH. I sent thank you notes immediately after each call and followed up after two weeks to find out my status and never received a response. Finally after a month I get a standard rejection email. Totally understand if they didn't want to move forward with me, but I wish they could have at least let me know earlier on so I wasn't waiting around.
