I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at BJ's Wholesale Club (Riverhead, NY) in Sep 2011
Interview
I was hired as a cashier. I grabbed a paper application (before the online applications were implemented) when it was available by the front doors, filled it out and brought it back in the next day. I handed my application to the FLS at the podium and she said I would get a call after personnel had a chance to review it. I proceeded to leave and as I started to drive away I received a phone call asking if I was able to come back and take their personality quiz and a possible interview. I did so, passed the written (which, again, is online now as part of the application process), and received an interview. Interview went well and I was given a drug test paper. Knowing I would pass the drug test, personnel set me up to be in the next available orientation- which was about two or three days later. I immediately went and took my drug test and started my employment with BJ's!

Question 1
Some of the questions on that test were a little outlandish and tricky, but overall, pretty straight forward.
No weird questions from the interview process that I can recall.
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at BJ's Wholesale Club
Interview
Asked Basic Interviews Questions. Just Be Honest, Relatable, Knowledge... Previous Experience Helped Out, Liked That I Didnt Come Of As Another Lazy Young Adult. Second intervew Was With Store Manager They Basically Talked About Their Life And Didnt Ask Questions Since HR Already Asked Everything A Few Days Before. Had Went Through Background After First Interview, Did (Mouth Swab) Drug Teat In Club After Second Interview, Process Took About Week And Half But I Applied Six Months Prior So It Did Take Long To Get A Call Back.
The interview lasted maybe 20 minutes. I walked in and we started right away. The manager I interviewed with was funny and very laid back. I'm not sure if I got the job ornot...havent heard back. Will update when I do
