      Recovery Clerk Interview

      Sep 10, 2015
      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      No offer
      Neutral experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at BJ's Wholesale Club

      Interview

I applied for the position online and was contacted by the hiring manager to schedule an interview a week later. I walked into the store about 15 minutes early and was, surprisingly, greeted by the HM within a few minutes. The HM seemed nice; however, she was noticeably surprised/disappointed when I told her I didn't have experience. She explained to me that she hadn't looked over my application prior to contacting me. The interview was very short and awkward, as I could tell that she wasn't interested in continuing the hiring process with me based on her body language/choice of words.

      Recovery Clerk Interview

      Apr 20, 2016
      Anonymous employee
      Willoughby, OH
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at BJ's Wholesale Club (Willoughby, OH) in Apr 2016

      Interview

I applied online and got a call after few days from HR personnel for interview. I went to my interview appointment, sadly the interviewer forgot about her day off, that was exactly the day of my interview. But somebody approached me and ask me if I was the one applying for meat clerk position, I was confused and told that the interview was meant for different job but I told him I am interested anyhow. So, he showed me the Meat/Deli area and he talks how the job done. Ask me if I could lift up 30 lbs. Basically he just show me around. Then after that he told me that he will talk to the HR and ask about the confusion of the job offer. Then told me they will call me. It was Friday and they never call until Monday I was so impatient so I made a call in the afternoon. I talked to the HR and told me that they have no update and told me the General Manager was busy interviewing and reviewing other candidates. I was so disappointed hearing it, I lost hope they would contact me again. I really need the job. So, I moved on and I kept applying in many companies. But, about 10 days I got a call again from HR personnel of Bj's Wholesale Club and ask me to go for second interview but it was another position. I went, and she told me they are not hiring but somebody in the Bakery Department will have maternity leave so they need a new employee. I told I am so excited for the job and I am not picky person. It was pretty easy interview. She just ask me, Tell me about yourself. Why you want to work at Bj's? When is your availability? Can you lift up to 30 lbs? Then she told me to wait a few second she want me to talk to Bakery Manager. I thought the Bakery manager will conduct interview but she showed me around the Bakery and talks about how the job done. Then before we parted ways, she ask me if I could wait 15-30 minutes for the General Manager. I said that's fine. So, I waited for the GM for about 30 minutes long. The GM just ask me, do they tell you about the job? I said yes they did. Then he ask me again, Tell me about yourself. I have no clue if I was hired because company always tell the same thing to the applicant, but he told me about the process they will do background check, then after that they will call and I have to do the drug test. But I am positive I did well so maybe I got the job offer. I hate assuming but I am positive I got it.
