It was a 2 step interview and both were in person. The first interview was at headquarters and second interview was with the branch manager. Headquarters was a more difficult and in depth interview than the second stage with the branch manager.

Online application to be submitted on the BMO app. From there a phone screen was set up with HR. Afterwards in person interview was set up the branch manager to see if it would be a good match and to dive deeper into the job description

Initially was called by HR representative & was scheduled for a virtual interview with her. About 1 week later received a 2nd call from her wanting to schedule 2nd virtual interview with her, bank manager & market president. Then received call from HR Recruiter about 3 days later offering me the position. Offer was conditional pending clear background, fingerprints & credit check. That process took about a week. I was not impressed with the 3rd party background check company they use (sterling). I had to provide some specific documents in regards to a past self employment & working with them was terrible. 4 different representatives gave me differing information/instructions & made the process annoying. After that was completed everything else was smooth sailing. All in all, everyone at BMO was wonderful..it was just the 3rd party vendor they use for background that was not wonderful! Ive been employed now for 5 weeks with BMO, I can say I'm very happy to be part of this great bank.
