Interview
I did a number of interviews with other companies, but BNY Mellon was something different for me. First thing is there was only one interview, that's it. No extended process of meeting with different people and trying to tell each person the exact same thing as the last. When I met my interviewers, I was surprised to see them wearing polo shirts and jeans. Not because it was casual Friday, but because that's how it is here. It took all of about 30 minutes from the moment I was greeted until the moment I left for the interview to happen. After having a great conversation about my history, both the hiring managers and I shared a few laughs and I went on my way. It was a truly great experience.
Fairly normal, no surprises. Typical interview that went fairly quickly. Started with a phone call than an in person interview. The in person interview was with 2 different people, one from HR and the hiring manager.
