The interviews with BNY Mellon staff from the team I would have worked with were pleasant, the staff seemed knowledgeable and kind but overworked, an unfortunate theme and deterrent that ultimately led to my declining the offer. The NY HR contact who had control of the hiring process was extremely unprofessional, aggressive and rude. In all, I went through numerous interviews over almost three months and the unprofessional treatment made it felt like a waste of my time and efforts. There was extreme disorganization between the staff at the local branch I applied for and with the head HR hiring process. I was verbally told an offer would come soon but would not hear from the hiring contact for lengths of time. After months of my patience and reaching out to them, the offer extended was average with poor medical benefits. In all, I feel BNY Mellon, or at least their HR, does not value applicants, especially ones willing to relocate for the work, and I would not recommend this company based on their unprofessional interview process.
