BNY Mellon took 3 weeks just to schedule a phone call with someone in their recruiting team who said he would help navigate my resume to appropriate hiring managers. 2 weeks later, without any prior to follow up, someone from HR tried to schedule me, with less than 48 hours notice, for a total of 4 different interviews. I had conflicts for 3 of those interviews, and I politely explained to them that with such short notice it's hard to fit in so many interviews. I suggested to them spacing it out, or starting with just one or two, as is normally done before going to a 2nd round.
They rescheduled, and I had one interview.
When I had my interview I was a bit tired, and my interveiwer picked up on that. I answered honestly, that I was jetlagged as I was flying back from a funeral I attended. He asked a few different probability questions (e.g. what is the distribution of a linear combination of normal random variables), as well a couple of questions about fixed income (I have a fixed income background). I got all of the questions correct.
They said they'd get back to me and never did. They ended up ghosting me. This company was a waste of time.
