The Recruiter setup a call. During the call, all she was interested was in my visa / work permit status. Despite assurance that I'd a valid work permit, recruiter wanted to "double check" with the immigration lawyer. Never heard back from the recruiter after that initial discussion. If the company wants to hire for certain visa/work permit types , the specifics should be mentioned in the job description and/or clarified over emails - will save everyone's time. ( Maybe they don't since its illegal to do so - not sure about it).
