      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at BPM Microsystems

      Interview

The first round of interview was a brief telephonic conversation with the manager. Then I was called onsite for an Aptitude and a Technical test , both of which were done on the same day. On technical test, I was confronted with C programming and questions based on a data sheet. Later on, the next day I had my 2 rounds of technical interview onsite. The final round of interview was with the CEO which was done online. The whole interview process took about 2 months for me.

      Device Support Engineer Interview

      Anonymous Interview Candidate
      Houston, TX
      Declined offer
      Positive experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at BPM Microsystems (Houston, TX)

      Interview

I emailed them about job openings, three minutes later (it was unreal how fast they called me back haha), they called me back and wanted an immediate interview so I was interviewed a few hours later on the phone. That must have been a preliminary interview. Contacted me the next business day and they wanted me to come in person to take some written tests. First test was about some basic competency test like vocabulary and basic math problems. Second test was a personality test. Third test was written scenario about emailing a client where you've met the deadline but you cannot meet their expectations, even though the expectations were unrealistic. So you have to write a fake letter to this client about why you couldn't meet their expectations. The last test was about writing a few scripts (in C). I rather not discuss what the programs were about but it was nothing too difficult. You don't even need the code to work though, they just look over it so they can see your thought process. They don't even compile your code. That's all the hiring process entailed, for me at least.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

This was the phone interview. They don't have anymore questions after the phone interview. What are your career goals? What would give you trouble with this job? What would you like like to do for this company? What was your favorite project? Would you want to work on the hardware side or the software side for this position?
