Interviewing at BRG seemed like a normal process; I started with a teams meeting, then moved on to a longer in person interview at the Boston office.
The office interview started off on a bad note. I arrived to the office as instructed, but could not get into the reception area. I called the recruiter I was supposed to meet and received no answer. The email said to check in with reception but there was not a single person around for 20 minutes, so I waited in the hall.
Once we got to the actual interview, it was pretty standard. I received an office tour, received an overview of the hybrid schedule, then sat in the conference room to wait for interviewers.
I met with a few people to discuss the job. Everyone was nice and informative, and they all seemed very professional and knowledgeable. The last person I spoke with, however, was a department head and seemed too busy to speak straight off of the bat. He brought in a second person with him to “sit in and observe”, but the second person conducted 99% of the interview. The person I was supposed to be meeting with barely looked up from his phone during the entirety of the meeting and asked only one question.
After a phone call interview and a nearly three hour in-office interview, the folks at BRG completely ghosted me. I sent follow up emails to the recruiter and they assured me I would receive feedback soon. This was months ago now. No further emails or phone calls were responded to. Even a generic rejection email would have been preferable to ghosting candidates.
