I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at BRG (Washington, DC) in Mar 2025
Interview
I had a short conversation with HR and then followed by a video interview with a senior and then 4 on-site rounds of interview where 1 round was technical based. The other 3 was behavioral which seniors and directors. All of their questions seem very much related to their day-to-day work and nothing was meant to trick you.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Why BRG and about your background and why you're interested in the field... tell me about a project where you worked with messy data, etc.
Technical interview was SQL with live coding and interpretation.
Phone screen and then second round interview that was technical, was mainly based around coding and solving questions through writing code live, even the phone screen had some technical aspects.
One recruiter screen, one take-home technical case study, and then one final round with an Associate Director. No tricky questions and the case was also reasonable with 2+ days to work on it. The managing consultant who did the case interview spent over an hour with me during the interview and just got good vibes about the culture throughout.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Asked me about my experience working with multiple stakeholders and providing feedback or managing performance of others.
Recruiter phone interview (going through resume, expectations) followed by 3-4 interviews with multiple team members over the next few weeks all completed online. Was then ghosted by the recruiter which felt unprofessional for a firm after multiple rounds of interviews with a candidate.
