The companies recruiter contacted me via email to discuss an open position. I set up a phone interview time but ended up going through a comical 3-4 day period of excuses as to why the interviewer could not make the scheduled times. Finally got the person on the phone and he seemed normal enough and read the position description along with explaining the culture of the company as part of the first half of the interview. The second half of the interview was spent giving my own experience and what I was looking to gain in a new role. The 30 min phone interview ended with discussing the next steps and stating that he did not see any reason why I would not be called in for a second interview. All sounded decent but as the days and weeks went by I heard nothing and emails/calls to the recruiter went unanswered. The recuriter either lost his job or was not courteous enough to tell me the company was not interested. The culture sounded interesting and the end result of being ghosted was a disappointing experience that showed a lack of professionalism on BRMi's part.
