Unfortunately, my interview experience with Backbase was extremely disappointing and disorganized. Firstly, the interview was postponed twice, once just one hour before the scheduled time, which showed a lack of consideration for my time and preparation.
Moreover, after the second rescheduling, I was abruptly informed, just one hour before the rescheduled interview, that the recruitment process for the Visual Designer position had been closed and there would be no further continuity. This lack of communication and planning on the part of the company reflects a disrespect for candidates and their invested efforts.
As a candidate, I expected a more professional and transparent recruitment experience from a company recognized like Backbase. Unfortunately, this experience left a negative impression on the company's culture and professionalism.
I applied online. I interviewed at Backbase (Amsterdam) in Dec 2021
Interview
Initially I had my first interview session with the personnel in-charge of recruitment. Then the second interview was with one of the senior designers and copywriters for creative questioning. Thirdly was with the Creative Director for the final interview. After those three interviews, they gave me a task to demonstrate my creative process of working for a project.
