I was part of ghost position posted via LinkedIn which required me to waste time prepping for a scheduled interview over the weekend as a technical interview. The initial recruitment interview was less than 10 mins and was scheduled for an interview with 4 staff members within a few hours. On the day before the interview it was cancelled and told the recruiter would reach out. Never happened. So this was obviously to drum up outside interest for an internal candidate or there was no position available. Either way, professional courtesy would have been appreciated on how I was not a candidate.
