The interview took literal months because even though they reached out to me and asked me if I was interested they were too busy to not make people wait weeks to hear back from anyone and when I did they expected me to jump as if my current life was on hold just for them, after 3 seperate interviews I was asked to fly out at the companies expense to check out the site. Upon arrival i made it to the rental car area for my reservation only to find out I would have to pay for the car MYSELF because the person who reserved it ( i have in writing mind you that this was ALL expenses paid and to not get the rental car insurance b/c the company has there own) was out of town and didnt put the company card with the car - this was over $100 out of pocket , I then arrived to the booked hotel to find drug dealers in the parking lot and someone walking around in underwear with the desk agent no where to be found and needles in the parking lot. I was about to pay for my own hotel or flight back home when I finally got ahold of the person I was to meet on site the following day and she rebooked my hotel at a different place. Upon arrival to the site instead of getting to know the property it felt more like I was there for free labor as we inspected several homes in the heat. Even through all of this the pay range was good and I was still strongly considering the offer until my spouse was promoted and we decided the move would not be beneficial. I have emailed them several times and still have not been reimbursed for the car expenses. All of this left a bad taste in my mouth about the way the company is run and how the communicate with prospective employees. The regional manager was very kind and she seemed like she would be great to work with however the rest of this process was exhausting. Not to mention they made me retake the drug test several times because I drink a gallon of water a day and it came back negative but diluted twice and finally the third time was not diluted as much and they accepted the full negative result. They need to refine the processes otherwise they will continue to run off great talent and well skilled employees. They also have a very deceiving moving policy- they tell you that you will get up to 15,000 in relocation expenses but at no point until you are ready to move do they tell you the truth is they will ONLY cover the moving truck ( kind of ) as you have to get 3 quotes and they will reimburse you the AVERAGE of those - no app fees, deposits ( assuming you don't buy something site unseen) or utilities are even considered - if you choose to live on site - they do not offer any incentive or discounts if you are at a military base because to them employees shouldn't pay less than service members which is on one hand understandable yet the other they are asking you to uproot your life in a different state to work for them but do not make it easy to move there and still expect you to be there within weeks of accepting the offer regardless of your current job and life in your current state or location. Other important notes- the assistant put in notice the day I was there, I was also told I would need to probably get rid of the current office staff and rehire along with several facilities personnel, it was made very clear that work like balance is not a real thing here- no salary job is only 40 hours that is true but to tell someone they will be expected to regularly work well over that and still take work calls at home and that sometimes "spouses will just have to understand" is very unnerving. I am an extremely hard and dedicated worker who has always gone above and beyond but offering a six-figure salary and then almost demanding a 60 plus hour work week every week is absurd and completely devalues the offered salary as you obviously get no overtime, and the bonuses are no longer BONUS if you need those to make up for all the time away from your own personal life.
