Invited to an interview which took place at 5:30pm and was held by two graphic designers rather than those listed in the interview confirmation. They were clueless as to what to ask and were rushing the entire process (as they finished for the day at 6pm). The 15 minute interview felt very 'good-cop, bad-cop' and as though they'd been made to stand in for management and take the interview. After a whistle stop tour of the office which included being scowled at by the person who would be my line manager I was told that I would be sent an audio test to complete and send back to them. I did not receive any such test - I chased this for two weeks (including email and telephone). Every time I phoned I was put through to voicemail. None of my emails were responded to.
Last week - two months after my initial interview - I received an email stating that I had been unsuccessful with my application. This was a generic blanket email sent out to everyone who didn't make it. Apparently my audio test gave the panel something to think about (!)
Overall it was an extremely negative experience for me. I felt as though I was an inconvenience for everyone involved even though I was the one who was invited to meet them.
