I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Baltimore County Public Schools
Interview
I skipped the curriculum interview and went right to the individual school (I had a contact who got me through the door) so I can't speak to what goes on at the top. But at the school level it's mostly standard education questions. What's your educational philosophy? How do you handle diversity in the classroom? Describe a lesson that went wrong? How do you use formative and summative assessment?
Essentially, if you've paid any attention at all in your pedagogy courses you'll be fine; it's the standard questions you'd expect.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
All questions were fairly straightforward. I do not recall anything being particularly tricky.
I was called in to the main central office. I met with someone in hr. The questions were general about teaching style. I followed up at the school with the principal and assistant principal.
It was straightforward. They have a screening interview first with HR and then you get put into a portal and get interviewed by the core team at the other schools.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Baltimore County Public Schools in Aug 2023
Interview
It was clear and easy to interview. Everything was over the phone and through Teams. Everyone was very kind. I talked with the principal, the assistant principal, the staff development teacher, and a teacher.
