I applied through college or university. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Baltimore County Public Schools
Interview
The interview wasn't bad. It was an initial screening interview to get into the county in order for you to then apply to individual schools. It was about 10 questions to answer. All of the questions were provided in front of me to read over or refer to. Generic questions about how I'd teach, manage students, make connections. Interviewed with a principal from the county at a university job fair. Process was quick, interview was about 20 minutes in totality, then I could continue to interview with principals once the screening interview ended.
I was called in to the main central office. I met with someone in hr. The questions were general about teaching style. I followed up at the school with the principal and assistant principal.
It was straightforward. They have a screening interview first with HR and then you get put into a portal and get interviewed by the core team at the other schools.
I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Baltimore County Public Schools in Aug 2023
Interview
It was clear and easy to interview. Everything was over the phone and through Teams. Everyone was very kind. I talked with the principal, the assistant principal, the staff development teacher, and a teacher.
