I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Banfield Pet Hospital (Saint Paul, MN) in Mar 2014
Interview
I applied for the veterinary assistant position on a Friday, that following Thursday I was called for a phone interview and was asked right away to come in the next day for a face to face interview. The interview started with a tour around the clinic. On the way to the meeting room, I was introduced to the employees that were working. I was asked the typical questions. The whole interview took 2 hours (we ended up chatting for quite awhile) but it was pretty laid back. Was asked to return Monday for a 3 hour shadow with an employee. Heard back the following Monday with a job offer.

None of the questions were difficult. Pretty basic.

Interview
The interview was in-person just like regular phone interviews. They first ask you to introduce yourself and describe your experiences. Then, they ask about certain skills like catheter placement, blood draw, and surgery monitoring. I think it lasted about 20-30 minutes.

Interview
The interview was conducted by both a hospital manager and veterinarian. The questions seemed pretty standard for this position. All in all a straightforward interview. The employees there seemed content.

My manager was super nice and responsive when it came to the hiring process. I went from application to hired in less than a week. Great experience. Would recommend to others if they love animals
