I received an invitation to have a preliminary conversation with a recruiter based on my social media profile. I was then told the job was only based in Canada and I would need to eventually relocate from the US. I let the recruiter know I was not interested in relocating. The recruiter then came back to me several days later and told me the company was open to filling the role remotely. I said, "sure, I'd like to learn more about it."
We had a great conversation a few days later. I thought it went very well and I was very excited about the opportunity, even though I was not originally looking to change jobs. At the end of the call, the recruiter took my availability to meet with the hiring manager and asked me to send over my resume. I sent it over. Then, I never heard back from the recruiter, even after following up twice.
I am so glad I did get an offer to work here. I understand if the hiring manager decided to go another way, just tell me. Definitely the worse experience I have ever had during the interview process.
