I was contacted my phone from a recruiter who stated that the manager wanted to interview me, this was about 4 months after I applied for the job and I was already working a new position. I then set up a time and was interviewed by 3 department directors and the interview lasted over an hour and a half. I was told that I would have to be available for another interview, so the following week I set up another interview with two other people that I would work with from time to time, this interview lasted about 30mins. Overall everyone was nice and friendly and ready to hire someone. I was offered the position via email and told about the salary. I had to negotiate the salary because it was extremly low, I was basically asked a bottom number and I said a save number. I was then counter offered via email exactly .50 cents lower. I was annoyed by the negotiation practices and clearly saw that despite all my experiences they wanted to bring me in at the bare minimum. Since I did not like the current job I was forced to accept due to the lack of income, I went ahead and accepted the offer. Although I grew to love my co-workers and the environment, at the end of the day income is important.
