I was approached by an HR team member (Rep1) at 5:30pm one day requesting to meet the hiring manager the next day at 1 in London. I was living in Birmingham then. Since the profile was of particular interest to me, I made immediate arrangement to travel to London. The meeting went fine. I was called a week later that the manager wants to take me ahead for formal competency interview. (by then the HR representative (Rep1) left Barclays and I was in touch with some other Rep - I call him Rep2). So i traveled to London again for a 1 hr competency interview, with hiring manager. The manager seemed to like me, and so my feedback was positive and I was put forward for the next round, supposedly final round. I traveled again to London. This interview was with hiring manager's boss. He talked to me for two hours and asked me various questions, including some competency based, about past experiences, my ideas and so on. It was a dead silence after this interview. Rep2 left Barclays (!!!!!) and I had no idea whom to get in touch with for feedback. Finally I got to know Rep3, who told me "You were rejected, but I dont know why, I will chase and get a feedback for you". Who gives this news like that? And yes, I was expecting feedback. If nothing, it would help me understand why after three rounds of meeting I was rejected so I could work on that for next interviews. But I never got feedback. After few weeks of chasing, Rep3 vanished and there was a Rep4 who wrote me - "There are so many changes happening, I cant get hold of the manager". And a week after that I realized, the manager who took my second interview left Barclays. (At this stage I was seriously wondering what is wrong with this place). After two months, I got automated mail for rejection with contact details of Rep5 to ask for feedback. Even though I knew it will be of no use, I contacted Rep5. Same story. No feedback ever. It was quite disappointing. I was expecting some humanity here form 'human resource' for having appeared for interview thrice, to atleast be bit professional. Or else, edit your automated reply saying you dont give feedbacks - trust me...companies do that!
