I applied online. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Barclays (Bengaluru) in May 2017
Interview
1. This role was for an Oracle Developer position.
1. Applied online through their career website and got call from Barclays HR.
2. 1ST Round - Technical Interview was telephonic for around 45 minutes.
3. 2ND Round - Manager Interview for Controlled Environment & Interpersonal Communication skills; It was a VC and lasted around 1 hour.
4. After a week or so I got an e-mail from HR stating expected salary. When I started negotiating with him. He gave me a figure and stuck there. And started telling me there is no room for negotiation. As it was a intercontinental relocation for me, when asked for at least 1 week of initial accommodation, he said it is not there in company policy and discussion is still going on.
Will update this thread.. TBC..
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
1. Conceptual questions related to Oracle development, such as, cursors, MVs, DB Links, Partitioning, Database Concepts and some scenario based questions which were really good.
2. Lot of questioned related to the controlled environment (Jira, Change Management, Code Reviews, Source Code Management, etc.). The interviewer also asked a lot more behavioral questions surrounding your personal as well as professional attitude in different scenarios.
The interview was moved twice then when is it happen interviewee did not have the camera on and the interview was so uncomfortable. Not a great experience really put me off
Interview was good and very friendly. Question asked about the current profile only. Interview process was very smooth. It takes 1 hour for discussion but overall it's good. If anyone going for interview, Should be well dressed and confident.
I applied through college or university. I interviewed at Barclays (London, England)
Interview
Applied online, spent a long time doing it and got given a rejection within no time which was disappointing. Overall a bad experience for me if I’m honest. Could’ve just been my lack of experience thought
