I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Base (TX) (Austin, TX) in Aug 2025
Interview
- 15min call with recruiter,
- 2 technical interviews (around 30-45 mins each)
- final round in-person (just under 4 hours, 30 min segments - you start off by giving a presentation about a technical project for about 45ish mins where they grill you on how things work and why)
Interview questions [2]
Question 1
Codeshare where I had to fill in the functions - pretty basic logic, no DSA or anything like that
A king has 1000 barrels of wine. 1 has poison. He can send servants to sample any number of wines. The poison takes 29 days to kill. He has a rival king visiting in 30 days, and he intends to serve the poisonous wine to him. How many prisoners do you need to use to find the poisonous wine, and what is the minimum?

Interview
Given a live coding exercise. Explain what the code does, and what can be improved. Feels like whole process is a joke. I answered questions but then the interviewer's connection was going bad, kept lagging, which I can't hear his questions clearly then. After a while he got impatient and left.
