The first interview was over the phone with their internal recruiter. Then, the following week was an interview with my would-be boss. A few days later, a 3rd interview with his (I believe) superior. All three interviews were fairly easy going. No tough questions. The interview with the recruiter was the most in-depth. However, according to my second interviewer she misstated the compensation structure— odd that he felt the need to state that. I got the sense throughout the process that my compensation requirements did not align with theirs; ultimately the company recruiter emailed me to let me know I did not get the job. I asked why they felt it was not a good fit and she said they decided to go with someone with more banking experience. As it turns out, they reposted the very same job last week... ouch. Would have been great to see more transparency in the hiring process.
