My interview process was unlike any I had experienced before. It began with a 30-minute Zoom conversation with the District Manager that was intentionally non-business focused. We spent the time getting to know each other on a personal level, and at the end of the conversation he explained the next steps in the hiring process.
The second stage consisted of two one-hour panel interviews with four Store Managers. Similar to the initial meeting, the conversations blended discussions about my personal experiences, leadership philosophy, and business acumen rather than focusing solely on traditional interview questions.
The final step required me to travel to another state for an in-person interview with the Vice President of Sales. That conversation lasted approximately one hour and forty-five minutes and provided an opportunity to discuss my leadership experience, values, and vision in greater depth. At the conclusion of the interview, I was immediately offered the position.
