Got a paper application in person from an associate at the register. Filled it out and turned it in to one of the co-general managers at the door. Asked if they would be hiring for the holiday season. She said with enthusiasm that they would be and asked if I would be available the next day at 4pm.
The next day (a Friday) I was part of a group interview with three other female candidates. At our BBW the typical uniform seems to be nice jeans with a white top under the standard apron. Accordingly we all dressed semi-casual, but nicely for the interview.

Our interview was with the other co-gen manager as the other one was off that day. She told me it would be a few minutes. When she rounded us up she indicated that we should each grab a bottle of lotion from one of the signature scents and familiarize ourselves with it until the line at the front went down.
When she was available she took us into the back room. She was very energetic and friendly. We sat in folding chairs in a semi circle. She had us answer some basic interview questions. She made sure that we took turns with who answered each question first. (we all answered each question)
Towards the end of the interview she had us pair up for the hand lotion demo. Three of us had grabbed tester bottles. A fourth just got a regular body lotion tube bottle. There was no comment on it so I don't think it matter what kind of bottle we had. It was basically a standard interview but less formal than a one on one which was nice.
Then after our demos she informed us that they are hiring for three different kinds of positions: Part time core staff (20-25 hrs / wk), Seasonal (10-15 hrs/wk), and Event staff for Floorset. We were told that she would get back to us by the middle of the following week.
Each of use were asked to quick look over our applications and double check our references for accuracy before handing them back over. We also got to try out a new product which was fun. Asked if there were any questions.
When the interviewer was asked what her favorite part of the job was she answered the high energy level, and that there's always something fresh & new so it doesn't ever get boring. Her least favorite is the irregularity of her schedule sometimes.
She also mentioned that training is about 4 -5 hrs long and involves watching video. There's also a notebook to fillout some stuff in. Mostly its just about familiarizing yourself with the products. After that there's some minimal training on the registers and the rest is hands on!
The interview questions:
1 - Are any of you in school or have other jobs?
2 - Describe/ Talk about a time when you dealt with a disgruntled customer or coworker.
3 - What was one of your least favorite things about your last job?
What was one of your most favorite things, something you liked, about your last job?
4 - We were asked to talk a little bit about our experience with selling / customer service in our previous work experience.
5 - Why do you want to work at Bath and Body Works?
