I interviewed for the Associate Account Manager, CAS position. The interviewers themselves were professional, engaging, and made me excited about the opportunity. Unfortunately, my experience with the recruiting process was the deciding factor in my decision to accept another offer.
During my initial conversation with the recruiter, I explained that the compensation range did not meet my expectations and indicated I was prepared to withdraw. I was encouraged to continue through the interview process anyway. Later, after I had completed several interview rounds, the recruiter unexpectedly called me and asked about my compensation expectations as though our original conversation had never happened. It felt like the earlier discussion had not been documented, and I was put on the spot to revisit something I believed had already been addressed.
Throughout the process, communication also felt disorganized. While I was waiting for a final decision on this role, I received emails updating me for other positions at the company as if I was waiting on a decision for two roles, which added to the impression that the process lacked coordination.
Ultimately, the recruiting experience left me with concerns about communication and organization, and it played a significant role in my decision to accept an offer with another company instead. I hope the recruiting process becomes more organized, as the hiring managers and interviewers I met made a positive impression.
