I submitted an application and recorded video responses to interview questions. I didn’t hear back. I applied to the position again since I saw it reposted a couple weeks later. A phone screen was set up with Talent Acquisition. It was a very strange one as they started with asking me if I had any questions. It didn’t seem like they were too serious about me moving forward in the process. They ended with telling me the next step would be either an in person interview or a virtual interview and they would let me know in a couple days. I never heard anything and followed up almost 3 weeks later. No response. I applied to an HR position at a staffing agency and come to find out, it was for the same Bealls position. They inquired on my behalf what my application status was. Talent Acquisition then immediately responded to my follow up and said to let them know if I was available within the next couple of days for a phone call. I let them know my availability and never heard back. I find their process to be poor and it was a terrible candidate experience. I still have no idea why I never made it to the interview stage since they liked my credentials and experience, according to Talent Acquisition. Bealls really needs to reevaluate their interviewing process.
