I applied online after meeting a recruiter at my university's career fair. This was followed by a phone screen and a scheduled interview with the hiring managers. They were a no show and I heard nothing from them for a while. Then I was rescheduled for an interview with the HR manager and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The company decided to go forward with me with a last panel interview with the individuals I was scheduled to interview with initially. This was one of the worst experiences I have had interviewing as an international student. The questions were almost insultingly surface level and I had been answering them in every single interview. They had almost no energy and then they let me know that they do not sponsor international candidates. I give them other alternatives as I had work authorization and since this is a multinational I can relocate as well. I spent a solid month and a half with this company and it took them three interviews, one no show and a long chain of emails to finally disclose this information to me. When I first applied for the position on handshake it said that the position accepts OPT and sponsors candidates. I understand that things happen amidst restructuring but I have never been so thoroughly disappointed with a company's hiring process. Shoutout to the HR Assistant and HR Manager for being patient with me throughout the entire hiring process. The sales managers were by far the worst interviewers I have ever encountered. The company culture seems really impeccable so I will suggest domestic candidates to go forward with this company. If you are international, it is best to stay away.
