Did phone screening, then a first round virtual interview. Was moved into an in person panel interview. Two days after the interview I received an email from HR/recruiter stating that they would be out of the office the next few days, but that she had received “outstanding feedback” and that I could “expect a call on Friday with great news” from another one of her team members. That call didn’t come. I followed up on the following Monday and was told that person was out sick which is why she didn’t call and that I’d actually be receiving a call on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. After that call never came, I again followed up on Thursday asking if their plans had changed. That email was responded to. Friday afternoon I finally received a canned email from their HR system saying they were going forward with someone else. Why would you tell a candidate they were going to receive great news when you were still conducting interviews? The truth is they were stringing me along while trying to secure this other candidate, and if they weren’t able to secure this person, only then would they move forward with me. Don’t waste your time. I wish I read these interview reviews beforehand.
