Interview
The interview process at Bectran was disappointing and ultimately a waste of time.
First, I completed a 1-hour Java coding assessment, which I passed. Then, I was asked to complete a second, longer assessment (focused on machine learning) lasting about 1.5 hours, which I also passed. After that, I had a 30–45 minute technical interview with an SDE 2 engineer, which went well and resulted in me being invited for an onsite panel interview with three director-level employees.
However, just five days before the scheduled onsite interview, I was informed via email that the position had already been filled and that my interview was canceled.
It is extremely unprofessional to cancel after putting candidates through multiple rounds without timely communication. It shows a lack of basic ethics and respect for the time and effort candidates invest.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend applying here. The process feels disorganized and inconsiderate toward candidates.

Question 1
The first online assessment consisted of one Java coding problem similar to a LeetCode medium-to-hard difficulty level, along with multiple Java-related MCQs and multi-select questions. The coding problem tested algorithmic thinking and problem-solving skills, while the MCQs focused on Java fundamentals, OOP concepts, and core programming knowledge.
Had a short phone call followed by two separate assessments, one on java and one about ML and data science. Both assessments were an hour long with a coding question and multiple choice.
20 min phone interview basic introduction and tell me about yourself then 2 questions ml and java then interview w/ engineer and on site final interview, and they ask you more about java . they said entry is ~75-85k salary for entry and they have a office in schaumburg and india.
