I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Bed Bath & Beyond (Cincinnati, OH) in Sep 2010
Interview
Immediate pre-screening/mini interview upon turning in my application with basic questions like had I ever shopped there, what I knew about the company, availability, etc. Got a call from the store manager for a formal interview a couple days later. A few days after that, I got the job.

Question 1
There weren't any difficult questions. They were all very standard interview questions. "Why our company?", etc. I wasn't asked to do this, but one manager I worked with would ask applicants during the pre-screen to sell them the item of the month, after she told them a little about it. The IOM is just something that's required for everyone to try and sell when they are ringing people out. It's usually a new item that BBB wants to feature at the registers.
was quick short and simple. Asked how to deal difficult customers and how I delt with the these customers. Basic customer service experience as well. Overall was one of the easiest job interviews.
It was pretty straightforward. They asked about why I wanted to work there and what experience I had. Then they asked about my available hours and things like that. It wasn’t too difficult or anything like that.
