I applied through an employee referral. The process took 3 days. I interviewed at Belle Tire (Grand Rapids, MI) in Feb 2015
Interview
It was a very easy process. I had a 1:1 with the manager at the time and he said I got the job on the spot. I had to do a background check and drug test to finalize my employment. It took around 3 days for everything.
I applied online. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Belle Tire (Petoskey, MI) in Jul 2022
Interview
Interview was scheduled when I applied. The recruiter was late and seemed confused when I told him the position I was applying for. When asked what my expectations were in terms of salary, he seemed surprised when I told him a salary in the advertised range. Never heard from them again
I applied online. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Belle Tire (Saint Clair Shores, MI) in Sep 2020
Interview
I was contacted through email by HR about my application. Set up an interview with a DM.
Interview was more of conversation than a standard interview. DM made me feel comfortable, was professional and personable. Went over what the role consisted of and the training process. Let me know that I would hear something after the weekend. Was contacted on Saturday that he wanted to meet me again.
Asked me how things were going since we last spoke. Wanted to make sure we were still on the same page, specifically about commute. Offered position and dived more into salary and salary potential. Showed me some examples of commission that can be earned, the POS and uniforms. When I left, I knew what the next steps were.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Belle Tire (Bloomington, IN) in May 2019
Interview
I was contacted online by a recruiter and asked to attend a local job fair as a walk-in interview with a member of regional leadership. I did end up interviewing that day at local hotel, which went fairly well. The interviewer was not expecting me, so did not have questions prepared and we had an open-ended conversation, which seemed to go well.
I was then contacted a month later for a second interview at another local hotel, during another hiring event. This time, I met with one gentleman who did not disclose his title (I think he is a VP), and another gentleman that is a Store Manager at a Belle Tire location.
I was asked some very basic questions and told that I was the nicest dressed that day, by far. I then proceeded to ask both company and location-specific questions that I had already jotted down prior. They did ask my salary needs, which I am not a fan of. I also asked how much of the team had been hired to this point (since it is a new location that is not yet open) and could not get a clear answer, but they did allude to the fact that the Store Manager I was speaking with was going to be the Store Manager of this location, which I found odd since I was interviewing for the Store Manager role at this location. It didn't make any sense and I left the interview confused and somewhat unfulfilled.
I received a survey invitation and email a few days later that I was not selected for further consideration.
